Is there plenty of parking?

We’ve got over 16,500 spaces available, including designated parking areas for blue badge holders, so you won’t need to search for a spot when you get here. Head to our dedicated Car Parking page to find out more about our options and charges.

Is on-site transport available?

We operate a free shuttle bus service between all car parks and halls during exhibitions. These usually start running one hour before the event and stop one hour after the event. You’ll find service times and alternative walking routes at all our bus shelters.

Can I give my electric car a power boost?

We have now installed 22 slow charging EV charging points for visitors with electric or hybrid vehicles.  Available on a first come first served basis the ‘free to charge’ points will deliver a minimum of 3.5kw/h and are in the following locations when the car parks are open [digital signage will direct you to the open public car parks on the day of your visit].

Can you recommend a taxi company?

Do you provide Wi-Fi access?

We understand the need to stay connected, which is why we provide free visitor Wi-Fi across the NEC - no code required.

Where do I buy and collect my tickets?

Head straight to our kiosks open during the events to pick up and buy your tickets. These are located around the venue.

Our black cab partners TOA Taxis are available 24/7 at the NEC.

Do you offer medical assistance?

We always have trained first aid staff available in the event of an accident or incident. Just ask the nearest member of staff for immediate assistance.

Where’s the nearest cash machine?

You’ll find portable cash dispensers (withdrawal fees apply) around the venue, while free NatWest and HSBC ATMs can be found at the train station.

Can I change my foreign currency?

No problem. You’ll find a Bureau de Change kiosk at Birmingham International Railway Station, which is just a short walk away.

Do you offer a cloakroom facility?

If you’re looking to dump your coat or bags for the day, take advantage of our cloakroom facilities that are available next to our halls (cloakrooms are open 30 minutes prior the event opening and close when the event closes). Items are charged at £1 each. Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to offer overnight storage lockers or 24 hour cloakroom facilities. Sorry.

Do you have a lost property area?

It happens to us all, so if you’ve lost something at the NEC head to our Security Office at either the Piazza or Atrium and we’ll do our best to help. Alternatively, call our Lost Property Department on 0121 767 3883.

Are there many places to eat and drink?

Can I smoke at the NEC?

Sorry, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the venue aside from our designated smoking areas. No excuses, no exceptions. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vaping. Our designated smoking areas are outside the Piazza entrance, the Piazza garden (weather and daylight permitting) and just off the Atrium main entrances.

Is the NEC accessible for disabled visitors?

Absolutely. We’ve worked tirelessly to make our venue fully accessible to all our guests. Head to our Accessibility page for further details. And if you can think of any other ways we could improve our accessibility, we’d love to hear them.

Do you have disabled toilets and changing facilities?

In addition to our standard disabled toilets we have Changing Places toilets, which provide additional space for up to two carers. They also includes height-adjustable changing benches and a hoist system.

Can I hire mobility scooters and wheelchairs?

We have a fleet of mobility equipment available to hire on a first come, first serve basis. We therefore recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Unfortunately due to the current circumstances, we are unable to facilitate telephone bookings at this time.  However, you can email your enquiry to [email protected] and a member of our team will contact you within three working days.

Wheelchairs are available free of charge for blue badge holders and £5 for all other visitors. The number of wheelchairs we have available is limited, so if you’ve got your own, please bring it with you.

Scooters are available for £15 per hire for all visitors.

All pre-bookings will be held until 1100hrs on the day they've been booked for, unless otherwise advised.


For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. As collection location varies from show to show, please check the collection point when making a booking.

Please note: Mobility equipment hire is only available during show open times and we only accept payment by card for any equipment hired. 

Are babies and children welcome at the NEC?

Of course, we love kids at the NEC. That’s why you’ll find baby facilities throughout the venue (visit the download section to view the baby change & feeding leaflet for more info). We also offer additional services such as our complimentary Children Identification Wristbands, which can be picked up from our Visitor and Business Centres as well as our Security Offices in either the Piazza or Atrium.

Please be aware that some trade shows don’t permit children, so it’s always best to check with the organiser before you bring the little ones with you.

Do you offer additional business services?

 Yes, the venue has vending zone areas within the Piazza and Atrium where printing facilities are available.

Is there somewhere I can pray?

Visitors from every faith have always been warmly welcomed at the NEC. We have a chaplain available for consultation and support, and also a popular multi-faith prayer room, available on the Piazza by Hall 3. Inside the room you’ll find prayer mats and holy books, many of which have been generously donated by representatives of local faiths. In addition, there is a men's Wudu room adjacent to the prayer room and a ladies' Wudu facility within hall 2 ladies' public toilets. We’re also happy to put you in touch with local faith leaders and places of worship, just call our chaplain on 0121 767 2911.

Can I bring my dog to the NEC?

Sorry, but only assistance dogs are permitted on our premises. The only exception being those lucky enough to be invited to Crufts of course.
