Virtual event - MACH 2022 Preview Week
As part of the preparations for MACH 2022, the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) has organised a series on online seminars featuring top speakers from some of the manufacturing sector’s leading organisations. Drawn from across the industry, the speakers will be providing high-level, exclusive content solely for MACH preview week.
Kicking off the seminar programme is David Holmes OBE, Director of Operations and Technology for Air at BAE Systems, who will be speaking about his company’s role in the development of the new Tempest UAV programme. Following this, Lloyds Bank Senior Economist, Rhys Herbert will provide some economic perspective to these challenging times. Completing the first day, Juergen Maier, former Chief Executive of Siemens UK and Chair of the Digital Catapult, will provide an update on his influential Made Smarter report.
On day two (27th January) Rab Scott and James Lindsay, of the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), will be speaking on Project ELLI (Electrification and Lightweighting in Industry 4.0). Following this, Mike Wilson, Chief Automation Officer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, will outline the simple steps to automation for SMEs. Completing the programme is Howard Mitchell, Head of Innovation for HS2, who will outline how the new high speed rail network will revolutionise the UK’s rail infrastructure and drive investment in the UK manufacturing supply chain.
