Global Exhibitions Day: NEC hosts 11 shows in three days as it launches Here for Business campaign

As the exhibition industry celebrates Global Exhibitions Day, and as NEC Birmingham delivers one of its busiest weeks on record, the venue is launching its Here For Business campaign to highlight the positive impact of the exhibition industry on UK trade.

The campaign, which will run on the NEC’s LinkedIn page, will feature a series of videos from the exhibition floor which promote the role of exhibitions in supporting business growth across domestic and international markets.

The launch coincides with an extremely busy slate of 11 events from 6-9th June at the venue, headlined by the return of Manufacturing and Engineering Week which brings together the Design Engineering Expo, Drives and Controls, Smart Factory Expo and Maintec.

Ian Taylor, Managing Director for Conventions & Exhibitions at the NEC, said: “This year’s theme for Global Exhibitions Day is that as an industry ‘we run the meeting places and marketplaces for everyone’ – and what better week to demonstrate this than when we have 11 events, covering so many industry sectors taking place in our venue.

“We’re seeing a strong appetite for face-to-face events and we know our Here for Business campaign will leverage our digital channels to highlight the power of these kinds of events, showing the value of the exhibition industry in the UK.”

Alongside Manufacturing and Engineering Week, the NEC will host Automechanika, Automotive Supply Chain Forum, Med-Tech Innovation Expo, TCT 3Sixty, Subcon, Traffex Parkex and CEF Live.
