Is there plenty of parking?
We’ve got over 16,500 spaces available, including designated parking areas for blue badge holders, so you won’t need to search for a spot when you get here. Head to our dedicated Car Parking page to find out more about our options and charges.View our parking
Is on-site transport available?
We operate a free shuttle bus service between all car parks and halls during exhibitions. These usually start running one hour before the event and stop one hour after the event. You’ll find service times and alternative walking routes at all our bus shelters.
Can I give my electric car a power boost?
We have now installed 22 slow charging EV charging points for visitors with electric or hybrid vehicles. Available on a first come first served basis the ‘free to charge’ points will deliver a minimum of 3.5kw/h and are in the following locations when the car parks are open [digital signage will direct you to the open public car parks on the day of your visit].
Two in North Car Park 2
Six in East Car Park 1
Six in South 7
If you would like to guarantee an EV charging point for the day, we’ve also got eight bookable points in our Premium NEC Express 1 Car Park.
Where available these can be booked here.
Normal parking fees apply
Please note: The charge points require a type 2 connector lead and the use of the Centrica EVS App- downloadable from app stores.
Our black cab partners TOA Taxis are available 24/7 at the NEC.
Do you offer medical assistance?
We always have trained first aid staff available in the event of an accident or incident. Just ask the nearest member of staff for immediate assistance.
Where’s the nearest cash machine?
You’ll find portable cash dispensers (withdrawal fees apply) around the venue, while free NatWest and HSBC ATMs can be found at the train station.
Can I change my foreign currency?
No problem. You’ll find a Bureau de Change kiosk at Birmingham International Railway Station, which is just a short walk away.
Do you offer a cloakroom facility?
If you’re looking to dump your coat or bags for the day, take advantage of our cloakroom facilities that are available next to our halls (cloakrooms are open 30 minutes prior the event opening and close when the event closes). Items are charged at £1 each. Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to offer overnight storage lockers or 24 hour cloakroom facilities. Sorry.
Visit our Food and Drink page for more tantalising details.
Is the NEC accessible for disabled visitors?
Do you have disabled toilets and changing facilities?
In addition to our standard disabled toilets we have a Changing Places toilet, which provides additional space for up to two carers. It also includes height-adjustable changing benches and a hoist system.
Can I hire mobility scooters and wheelchairs?
We have a fleet of mobility equipment available at every event. Manual wheelchairs are free of charge to blue badge holders, or £5 per day for other visitors. Electric scooters are £15 per day for all visitors. We strongly recommend pre-booking equipment to avoid disappointment, so please call on 0121 780 4141 (Option 2 and then Option 7) (Mon – Fri 09:00 – 16:00), or alternatively you can email at [email protected]
Please note: Mobility equipment hire is only available during show open times and we only accept payment by card for any equipment hired.
Are babies and children welcome at the NEC?
Of course, we love kids at the NEC. That’s why you’ll find baby facilities throughout the venue (visit the download section to view the baby change & feeding leaflet for more info). We also offer additional services such as our complimentary Children Identification Wristbands, which can be picked up from our Visitor and Business Centres as well as our Security Offices in either the Piazza or Atrium.
Please be aware that some trade shows don’t permit children, so it’s always best to check with the organiser before you bring the little ones with you.
