Nineteen Group’s acquisition of Broden Media Limited has been welcomed by the NEC, with it further strengthening ties between the company and the leading event venue.
Having already launched The Security Event in April of this year, the move will mean the NEC will be hosting another Nineteen event – The Emergency Services Show - in a matter of months.
Taking place on 18-19 September, The Emergency Services Show is a two-day event bringing together all disciplines from the emergency services sector to discover innovative technologies and operational solutions, share their experiences and unite in their collaborative approach to public safety.
Kathryn James, Managing Director for NEC Group Conventions and Exhibitions said: “We’ve built a great relationship with Broden Media Limited on The Emergency Services Show over the last six years, and working with Nineteen Group to bring The Security Event to the Midlands in 2019 and now 2020 has been a fantastic win for us. The acquisition not only strengthens their databases but provides great growth opportunities and potential for cross collaborative events with us. It’ll be interesting to see how this can accelerate the development of all shows under the new Nineteen umbrella at the NEC.”
Nineteen Group CEO, Peter Jones, said: “As Nineteen Group continues to grow, I couldn’t think of a better event than The Emergency Services Show. It fits perfectly with our current series of, Security, Health and Safety, Fire, Facilities and Disaster Response events, both at the NEC in Birmingham in April and in London in December. Our combined databases complement each other in a way we couldn’t have designed better. As the Nineteen Group grows, the strengths that David Holden, David Brown and their team bring from this sector will bring a new strength to the Nineteen Group and help us continue to run and develop a great stable of complementary events, providing the best experience for all of our visitors and exhibitors alike.”
